Primary Current Injection Testing
This test ensures that protective devices are functioning correctly by simulating high primary currents under actual fault conditions. This validates circuit breaker CT ratios, wiring, and trip settings. During commissioning, it’s essential to examine the effectiveness of the protection system.
What we do:
- Use high primary currents to simulate real fault conditions and test protection device response.
- Examine Current Transformer (CT) ratios and polarity for precise measurement and protection coordination.
- Confirm relay trip settings and collaborate with associated circuit breakers to ensure correct operation.

AC/DC Hi-Potential (Hi-Pot) Testing
The High potential (Hi-Pot) test is done to safeguard cables, transformers, switchgear, and other equipment that have insulation within them. It is provided a high voltage (AC or DC) which ensures a good insulation can handle operational stress. These tests help to identify insulation breakdown points and weak spots. It is a critical safety step before system energization.
What we do:
Apply high voltage (AC or DC) to electrical equipment such as cables, transformers, and switchgear.
Measure leakage current to evaluate the strength and reliability of insulation systems.
Detect weak spots, cracks, or insulation breakdowns that could lead to future failures.
Test both phase-to-ground and phase-to-phase insulation to ensure complete system integrity.
Produce a detailed test report that highlights insulation performance and problems within the equipment if any.
Power Factor & Insulation Resistance Testing
These tests evaluate the dielectric strength and the insulating condition of electrical assets. Power factor testing indicates the presence of moisture, dirt and deterioration in insulation. Insulation Resistance testing saves you from electrical shocks, equipment failures, and fire hazards. By checking the system at regular intervals you can assure a high operational lifespan with improved reliability.

Perform Power Factor testing detects insulation aging, moisture ingress, and contamination in equipment like transformers and cables
Use megohmmeters for Insulation Resistance (IR) testing, it allows measuring the resistance value between the conductors and earth

Tan Delta Testing (CTs, CVTs, Transformers, Generators)
Tan Delta Test identifies the ageing and degradation of insulation in high voltage equipments. Therefore, this is a trustworthy diagnostic asset in the plans for preventive maintenance. The increase in tan delta value indicates insulation breakdown or contamination. In not in enough, this test is nondestructive and gives equipment longer operational life by avoiding catastrophic failures.
What we do:
Perform measurements of Tan Delta (also known as Dissipation Factor) to evaluate the quality of insulation in high voltage equipment.
Apply a controlled voltage and measure the phase angle displacement between Voltage and Leakage Current.
Identify insulation ageing, moisture ingress, contamination of partial discharges within the equipment.
Track trends by comparing current results to historical information to monitor the health of the insulation property over a span of time.
Provide a comprehensive diagnostic report with recommendations for future maintenance or equipment replacement.
System Energization & Performance Validation
This includes safely energizing the entire electrical system and ensuring that it behaves according to design and load requirements and Check for all parameters such as voltage, current, protection operations etc was carried out. This generates a performance report for documentation and future reference purposes.
